KASPER BOSMANS | Kathmandu Triennale

3/24/17 - 4/9/17

Kasper Bosmans is fascinated by the origin of forms, meanings and symbols. His participation in the Kathmandu Triennale made him explore formal similarities between the traditional handcrafts and arts of Patan and other parts of the world. In collaboration with local craftsmen the artist has made a mysterious object in copper. On the other hand, large cooking pots are arranged in a row as if they were ritual objects. The pots have been decorated with a few precious stones. With each work the artist makes a legend, a small size cryptic painting which includes all the references and elements which are presented.
